Mission Assurance Manager (REQ #QU08-08-24)

Responsibilities: The Mission Assurance Manager (MAM) reports directly to the SGT corporate Quality Officer. The MAM’s primary responsibilities are:
- Support to engineering contracts for flight and ground system design and development verification and validation

Project Support Specialist/ RA (REQ #PA08-08-32)

Location: NASA GSFC Breenbelt, MD

Responsibilities: Preparing the annual Code 401 budget and tracking commitments, obligations and actual costs against the plan. Investigating variances to the budget including cause, impact and corrective actions needed. Special “what-if” budget actions will also be required.
Individual will be developing cost estimates in support of Code 401 activities including labor, material, travel and other direct costs. Individual will manage the transfer of funds from internal Goddard organizations and other external NASA organizations including the Office of Chief Engineer (OCE), Academy of Program, Project, and Engineering Leadership (APPEL), the Independent Program Assessment Office (IPAO), and multiple NASA field centers. Also includes coordinating with these organizations to ensure the proper obligation and costing of these funds. Individual will be responsible for tracking of all receipts and expenses for the NASA PM Challenge conference. This will involve close coordination with the conference registration contractor on all financial activity including ensuring the contractor has sufficient funds to cover all expenses.
Preparing and producing financial reports from Business Warehouse, SAP, CORTS, and all other financial feeder systems that Goddard uses. Managing the financial process associated with PAAC Task Orders and subtasks associated with Code 401 support. This includes the set-up of the appropriate WBS elements in the SAP accounting system, transfer of funds to the PAAC pool, set up labor and travel charge numbers for Civil Service staff, and coordination with the PAAC Business Manager for the set up of prime contractor and subcontractor charge numbers for labor. Duties also include assuring that the PAAC contract is being obligated and costed according to the plan by providing the Code 400 budget coordinator and the required financial information necessary for accurate allocation of funds to charge numbers in CORTS and SAP. Preparing, not less than monthly, a written financial status report of all Code 401 activity that includes as a minimum: monthly plan vs. actual cost by funds source including a reconciliation with CORTS; financial variances analysis of all Code 401 activities including variance amount, root cause, impact, and corrective actions; follow-up with other organizations on erroneous or unauthorized charges or use of funds and rectify problems uncovered. Traveling to NASA Headquarters for periodic budget status meetings and to other locations in support of NASA budget training, the PM Challenge conference, or other activities. Responding to financial inquiries from Code 401 customers such as IPAO, APPEL, OCE, and other NASA centers and programs.
Individual must be able to work with short deadlines and shifting requirements. Individual may be required to sign a non-disclosure statement to protect contractual and proprietary information.


Requirements: Individual must have working knowledge of NASA financial systems. Nine plus years of financial management and/or accounting experience. Exceptional MS Excel skills. Systems Engineer, Ground Systems Test (REQ #MT08-04-24)

Sr. Systems Engineer (REQ #MS08-08-25)

Responsibilities: The candidate will develop documentation, support meetings, participate in teleconferences, and perform specific studies related to the NASA Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) Program with specific emphasis on support for communications and tracking requirements. This includes supporting the development of the SCaN Concept of Operations (ConOps), the SCaN Systems Requirements Document (SRD), and the SCaN Architecture Description Document (ADD). The candidate shall provide Level 2 system engineering expertise for analysis and evaluation in support of SCaN. The Level 2 analysis and systems planning support is required for the definition, development, and validation of architectures, concepts of operations, and requirements for communications, navigation, and operations of SCaN assets. Level 2 analyses also include communication, navigation, and operational capabilities required to support the systems planning of NASA’s exploration missions and elements as components of the Vision for Space Exploration. Additionally, the candidate shall support development of a Requirements Management Methodology, and will conduct Requirement Working Groups (RWGs) in order to work issues that impact SCaN requirements and to allocate and derive requirements to the lower elements. Rationale, verification methods, and traces to parent requirements shall be included for each requirement for import to, and maintenance in, Cradle. The candidate is required to support implementation of systematic and documented Compliance / Gap analysis, comparing NASA exploration missions and elements requirements to existing and planned SCaN Service Functions, as an interim step toward development of the SCaN System Requirements Document. The candidate shall support development of SCaN and/or SN Modernization Concept of Operations documents. In parallel with the development of the evolving Level 2 SRD and ConOps documentation, the candidate will provide support to the architecture team at the NASA Glenn Research Center, and will assist in updating the systems architecture, the Architecture Diagram Package and Architecture Definition Document to reflect SCaN’s As-Is network architectures, the SCaN “To Be” architecture as it relates NASA missions, and other architecture views as directed
